More Than 400 Make Nichols Dean's List
Four hundred and four Nichols students have earned Dean's List or Dean's High Honors during the just-completed spring term.
The Dean's List recognizes students who have achieved high grades during a single semester. In order to be included in the Dean's List, a student must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.2 for at least 12 credit-hours and receive no grade below a C+ during the semester. A student who earns a grade point average of 3.6 or higher is awarded Dean's High Honors.

Ten Nichols College Students Volunteer at the Boston Marathon
Ten Nichols College students volunteered at the Boston Marathon on Monday April 21st. This was the first-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing and it hit close to home for many Nichols students. These students selflessly volunteered their time at the race, helping prepare and working at various locations throughout the course.

Thirty one Nichols students have completed the past academic year as Resident Assistants (RAs). RAs help resident students meet their educational, interpersonal, and social needs within their living environmentL. The RA role is extensive, encompassing community building, programming, and helping as well as administrative and staff responsibilities.

Before an overflow crowd gathered for Nichols' 2014 Commencement on Saturday morning, May 10th, 399 Nichols undergraduate and graduate students received praise for their academic accomplishments and advice for their futures from former White House Chief-of-Staff Andrew Card.

Eight Nichols College Students Join Division III Field Hockey National Academic Squad
Eight Nichols College student athletes were named to the 2013 Gladiator by SGI/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad for the 2013-14 academic year.
The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year.

Nichols College Women's Ice Hockey Places Eight Players on the ECAC East Academic All-Conference Team
Eight Nichols College women's ice hockey players have been named to the 2013-14 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's East Academic All-Conference Team. All conference members qualify by earning a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or higher for the semester.

Nichols College Students Lend a Helping Hand on Alternative Spring Break
Seven Nichols College students traveled to New Orleans to lend a helping hand during spring break in March. The group worked with Gulf Coast Volunteers for the Long Haul and the St. Bernard's Project.
Each morning, the group went to a home in the Seventh Ward--mudding, sanding and priming. In the afternoons, they completed projects that ranged from painting, gardening and working in the Habitat ReStore Center.
This trip was made possible through fundraising efforts of the student attendees.

During the 2013-2014 academic year, 15 Nichols students have decided to study abroad in various locations throughout the world. Students can choose to study abroad starting junior year. They gain valuable classroom knowledge while experiencing different cultures.

Nichols Students Complete Internships at the Washington Center
Three Nichols College students completed internships at the Washington Center in Washington DC during the 2013 academic year. Once accepted, students participate in internships related to their field of study, while also completing one class credit. While gaining valuable internship and classroom experience, each student also partakes in a civil engagement project that help a number of causes in the area.

Nichols Students Named Captains of 2014 Winter Sports Season
Seven students at Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts have served as captains of their sports teams this winter. Women's Ice Hockey, Men's Ice Hockey, Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball compete in the NCAA's Division III. Captains lead their teams both on and off the playing field as role models and exemplary students.

Five Nichols Students Awarded New Grant
A three-year grant from the Davis Educational Foundation based in Yarmouth, Maine is helping to fund a Nichols initiative to develop student leadership skills in a range of part-time jobs around campus.

Nichols Class of 2013 Graduates
Nichols College has conferred 267 Bachelor's, 110 Master's, and 6 Associate Bachelor's degrees on the members of the Class of 2013. The new graduates were recognized in front of friends, family, and faculty during the College's annual Commencement ceremony on May 11th.
