Nichols College names Peter W. Tympanick, CPA, new VP for Business and Finance/CFO

Tympanick brings strong industry and higher education experience

Dudley, MA (02/21/2023) — Nichols College President Glenn M. Sulmasy, JD, LL.M, has appointed Peter W. Tympanick, CPA, as the new Vice President for Business and Finance/CFO at Nichols College, effective March 1, 2023.

Tympanick most recently served as Director of Finance for academic affairs at Bryant University. He joined Bryant in 2011 as an accountant and was promoted to assistant financial director for campus management in 2014. Before entering higher education, Peter was a senior associate at State Street Corporation.

"Peter's strong background in accounting, finance, budgeting and business process improvement, combined with his higher education experience, will help Nichols College continue to achieve the goals and collective vision outlined in our Embracing Greatness strategic plan," said Sulmasy. "I look forward to working with Peter as we build upon our efforts to bring Nichols to new heights in our march toward greater regional and national prominence."

Nichols has embarked on a new phase in its 200+ year history with development of the Embracing Greatness strategic plan. The plan, currently in development in consultation with members of the Nichols community, outlines a growth strategy for academic and student life programming, athletics, campus facilities and fundraising.

"I am honored to join the Nichols family and look forward to working with President Sulmasy and the entire Nichols community in contributing to advancing the Nichols mission and the strategic initiatives that will ensure a strong and vibrant future for the college," said Tympanick of joining Nichols.

Tympanick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008 at Merrimack College. He resides in Burrillville, RI.
